Meran is situated at the entrance to the Passeier Valley, the Vinschgaus, the Etsch (Adige) Valley and the Ulten Valley and may therefore, be reached from various directions. From the North you will arrive via the Brenner Pass or the Jaufen Pass (Passeier Valley), from the West via the Reschen Pass (Vinschgau), from the South you can use the motorway as far as Bozen (Bolzano) - A22 Modena - Brenner/exit Bozen South.
